Fine Dining on the Susquehanna River
Char’s – Tracy Mansion is the only restaurant in Harrisburg situated on the lovely Susquehanna River. Once a celebrated mansion built in 1913, the mansion is now known as THE fine dining restaurant for all of Central Pennsylvania.
For special occasions, happy hour, or just to savor Chef Ron Canady's French inspired menu, Char's has the perfect setting: Fine Art combined with Fine Dining.
The renovated mansion is an elegant setting complete with the McKee Library - our cocktail lounge, and our Dining Room that overlooks the river. The Gallery is our art-filled private dining room where we display a rotating exhibit of blown glass and sculptures by artists Ona Magaro and Glenn Zwyegardt.
There is not a more beautiful outdoor setting that our Veranda, which offers waterfront dining overlooking the sculpture garden. Enjoy a glorious cocktail by Sal Pantano while watching the sun set over the river... and you will know that you have arrived at someplace special.
Whether it is a formal meal for a special occasion or a casual light-bite, Char's has the menu, the atmosphere and the welcoming service to be your dining destination.
Starting Friday May 29th we will feature Live Music in the Sculpture Garden every Friday and Sunday night this summer. Ask for a reservation on our Veranda!
Please note Char's will be closed the following dates:
Sunday September 6th
Monday September 7th
